The "WAVERLEY" is the last remaining sea-going paddle steamer in the world. As such she has become part of the nation's maritime heritage. Thanks to the enthusiasm and determination of the Paddle Steamer Preservation Society and the Maritime Heritage Lottery Fund sufficient funds were made available to allow this historic ship to be restored to her original condition. These photographs are a small representative sample of the extent and complexity of the restoration work. They are also a testament to the skills of the craftsmen who painstakingly carried out this work.
